For The Young & The Old
There are currently five different Sunday School classes at St. John’s:
Preschool & Kindergarten; 1st – 3rd Grades; 4th – 6th Grades (Bible History); Confirmation; and the Adult Class.
The classes meet from 8:45 – 9:45 a.m. on Sunday mornings during the school year.
Preschool - Third Grade Classes
These classes follow their own curriculum including Bible stories, crafts, music, games, and other activities. The children are also part of a youth choir and sing once every other month for the congregation during the worship service.
Bible History Class
The class works their way through the Bible looking at all the different stories and how they can apply them to their everyday lives.
The children are also part of a youth choir and sing once every other month for the congregation during the worship service.
The Confirmation class is a two-year long class taught by Pastor Martin on Sunday mornings from 8:45-9:45 a.m., and Wednesday nights from 6-7:30 p.m., during the school year. The class will work with Pastor Martin, preparing for their affirmation of baptism.
During Lent (March 13-April 10), the Wednesday night classes will meet from 5:30-6:50 p.m. Lenten services will begin at 7 p.m.
The adult class follows along and expands their knowledge on the lectionary taught each Sunday during the worship service.
